Ingredients:
4 ounces cold butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
1 bag Rolos, frozen
1 tablespoon flour
Directions:
• Sift flour and sugar together in a large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Lightly beat egg, milk and vanilla in a small bowl; add to large bowl and mix with a fork until dough forms clumps. Add more milk if it's too dry.
• Turn dough out onto the counter and knead a couple of times. Shape into a disk and wrap in seran. Chill for at least 1 hour.
• Unwrap Rolos and toss with flour to coat.
• Roll tablespoon-sized portions of cookie dough between your hands to warm slightly. Flatten into a 2-inch disk. Place a Rolo in the middle and gather the dough up around it, pinching at the top. Mold two ears. Repeat with remaining Rolos and dough; freeze shaped cookies for two hours.
• Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake cookies for about 10 minutes, until ears are golden. Cool for 5 minutes on sheet; remove to racks to cool completely.
